Wednesday

Today is Wednesday! We usually wear the scout uniform. I arrived at school at 6:00 am. After waiting 30 minutes, the bell rings at 6:30 am. There are six lessons on Wednesday. Like usual, before we study all the students pray according to their own religion. And then, the first lesson is ICT (Information and Communication Technologies). We study like usual. But sometimes there are shadow teachers for Physics, Biology, and Math on Wednesday so we don’t study ICT. Shadow teachers are teachers from other countries. We must speak English to them because they don’t understand Indonesian. The shadow teachers will improve our English speaking.

The second lesson is Biology! This is my favorite lesson. The teacher is Mr. Maher. The subject now is about the movement of plants. The teacher is also a great teacher and I like it.

The third lesson is math. We study math like usual.

The fourth lesson is Social Science. Mrs. Ika tells us stories, that's why all the students in my class are approaching her. She always tell us interesting stories hahaha.

Today is Tuesday! On Tuesday we have 6 lessons. Before we study, all the Moslem students read the Quran. And for the other students who are not a Moslem, they pray according to their own religion. After that, the first lesson on Tuesday is the cooking lesson or in Indonesian it’s called Tata Boga. We study this lesson once a week. The teacher is Mrs. Retno. On this lesson we learn about Indonesian cuisine. All students on my class bring a drink named Pletok Beer. Pletok Beer actually is not a beer. But it’s an Indonesian traditional drink made of ginger and other spices. Mrs. Retno tastes all students Pletok beer and gives every student a score.

The second lesson is Chinese. The teacher is Mrs. Henny or we call her Laoshi Henny. Studying Chinese is very exciting. We learn daily Chinese language and the basics. The teacher is also very kind. But unfortunately, the lesson has a very short time. Like cooking lesson, this lesson is only once a week.

After the Chinese lesson, we have the PLKJ lesson. What is PLKJ? PLKJ is the acronym of ‘’Pendidikan Lingkungan Kehidupan Jakarta’’ or the meaning in english is ‘’Environmental Life Education of Jakarta’’. The teacher is Mr. Zikra. In addition to a PLKJ teacher, he is also a P.E teacher but not for my class. PLKJ is a lesson special for schools in Jakarta. We learn about the history of Jakarta, Sociology, and morale education.

The fourth lesson is the Counseling Guidance. The teacher is Mrs. Tuti. In this lesson Mrs. Tuti guide us to be a good person. She always tell us a story and if we have a problem we can tell to her. The problems can be about the lessons, the teachers, the school, even about your boyfriend or girlfriend hahaha.

The fifth lesson on Tuesday is English. We study English as usual. There’s nothing special.
And the last lesson is the ICT or the Information and Communication Technologies lesson. The teacher is Mr. Mufti. We learned a new subject that day. We learned about HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language). We learn how to make a simple website with Microsoft Notepad. I enjoyed this lesson because I like this lesson very much. It’s so interesting.

I arrived at school at 6:00 am. I played with my friends until the bell rings. On Monday, before we study we held the flag ceremony at 6:30 am. The flag ceremony is an Indonesian ceremony to honor our national heroes. All schools in Indonesia held the flag ceremony. About 30 minutes of the ceremony, all students returned to their classroom to study. There are only 4 lessons on Monday.

Our first lesson is social science. Mrs. Ika is the teacher of it. She is also our homeroom teacher. In Indonesian social science, we study about the history of Indonesia, economy, geography, and sociology. All students in my classroom like it because the way Mrs. Ika teaches. After around 2 hours of lesson, the bell rings. We get a break for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes of break, we get back to our classrooms. On my classroom, the second lesson is math. The teacher is Mr. Satimin. Mr. Satimin is a very friendly teacher. He was never angry to us. We learned new subjects that day. The subjects are about cubes, cuboids, prisms, and pyramids. We enjoy the lesson very well.

The third lesson on Monday is Indonesian. The teacher is Mrs. Masruroh. On that lesson, we learned about poetry. We get also tasks from Mrs. Masruroh. Each student in my class must make 2 poetries.
And this is the last lesson on Monday. It’s English! The teacher is Mrs. Endang. She always give us tests. So I get bored to her.
