Tuesday

Today is Tuesday! On Tuesday we have 6 lessons. Before we study, all the Moslem students read the Quran. And for the other students who are not a Moslem, they pray according to their own religion. After that, the first lesson on Tuesday is the cooking lesson or in Indonesian it’s called Tata Boga. We study this lesson once a week. The teacher is Mrs. Retno. On this lesson we learn about Indonesian cuisine. All students on my class bring a drink named Pletok Beer. Pletok Beer actually is not a beer. But it’s an Indonesian traditional drink made of ginger and other spices. Mrs. Retno tastes all students Pletok beer and gives every student a score.

The second lesson is Chinese. The teacher is Mrs. Henny or we call her Laoshi Henny. Studying Chinese is very exciting. We learn daily Chinese language and the basics. The teacher is also very kind. But unfortunately, the lesson has a very short time. Like cooking lesson, this lesson is only once a week.

After the Chinese lesson, we have the PLKJ lesson. What is PLKJ? PLKJ is the acronym of ‘’Pendidikan Lingkungan Kehidupan Jakarta’’ or the meaning in english is ‘’Environmental Life Education of Jakarta’’. The teacher is Mr. Zikra. In addition to a PLKJ teacher, he is also a P.E teacher but not for my class. PLKJ is a lesson special for schools in Jakarta. We learn about the history of Jakarta, Sociology, and morale education.

The fourth lesson is the Counseling Guidance. The teacher is Mrs. Tuti. In this lesson Mrs. Tuti guide us to be a good person. She always tell us a story and if we have a problem we can tell to her. The problems can be about the lessons, the teachers, the school, even about your boyfriend or girlfriend hahaha.

The fifth lesson on Tuesday is English. We study English as usual. There’s nothing special.
And the last lesson is the ICT or the Information and Communication Technologies lesson. The teacher is Mr. Mufti. We learned a new subject that day. We learned about HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language). We learn how to make a simple website with Microsoft Notepad. I enjoyed this lesson because I like this lesson very much. It’s so interesting.

At 2.15 the bell rings and we go home!
